Pollensa and its seaside port town Puerto Pollensa, are located in the northern part of Mallorca. It is an historically important part of the island, as its prominent geographical position has witnessed many battles of resistance and conquests.
Pollensa town, located some km inland, owes the overall appearance to the Arabs with winding narrow streets, flights of steps and houses built in warm yellow and pale red, a legacy from the medieval era. One of the town's most distinctive features is the 365-step stairway that leads up to a chapel on top of the hill. Pollensa is a truly charming and genuine town which is well worth a visit.
The port town Puerto de Pollensa is the most northern town of the island, and has the feeling of an idyllic fishing town, located by a protected bay. It is a popular seaside resort and has been so for many years. Here you will find many nice restaurants along the water front, a wonderful beach and a bustling summer season.
